I don't mind frizz on my ends, it's really not that bad. I always get it right on top of my head, though.

The reason was watching this video in the first place is because of the exact reason you mention. I was using a non-aerosol heat protectant, and after the third time it made my hair sizzle I got very fed up and bought an aerosol "working spray" with "thermal protection". I haven't used it yet, but wish me luck!
